Halifax 15% Argos Cashback confusion - when does cashback "track"?

Hi all,

so I activated my Argos cashback as part of the recent offers, which was 15% for me. Then the next day I made a spend of approximately £148 in my first order since activating it.

I'm just wondering, how long does it take for the halifax website to actually show you how much cashback you have earned? It was activated on the Tuesday, and Wednesday morning I made the purchase. The purchase amount is now showing on the credit card account however.

I know the website says it will be paid at the end of the month, but am I right in thinking it should show you the amount before it gets paid in as it doesnt really make that clear? A bit like how Quidco tracks before receiving payment?

I've also just spent some more money today around £50 in Argos. If its for one transaction only, I hope that they have taken the very first transaction after activating it.

I think mine took about 4 days and do recall it saying only one transaction per offer and I think maximum of £100

thanks - yeah it says only one transaction.....on hindsight todays cheaper purchase I should have made on a different credit card but only thought of the possible issue after the event. If they try and only give it on the newer one I'll be kicking up a stink with them though.......hopefully alright though, it was the first purchase by a couple of days, and the info says nothing about lowest purchase getting the cashback etc

I'm told it appears the day after the debit card transaction fully reduces your account balance.

No idea for credit card transactions.

For a purchase I made on Wednesday, with statement entry date on Thursday (added Thursday overnight), the cashback wasn't showing this (Friday) morning, but is showing now. So there is certainly a delay between the transaction appearing online, and the cashback appearing online.
