    hehe

yes ok so it's probably trip-trap, but this did happen to a friend of mine, only it wasn't £1000, it was just under £24, 000:eek: yes i saw the cashpoint statement paper myself

in the early 90's, he went to check his balance, saw it, and had a total panic attack. he didn't touch it for weeks and it was still there.

he asked all friends and family opinion, he sought legal advice and was told to wait and if he heard nothing he could try and withdraw it: it they let him withdraw it, it would probably be ok. he was a young lad so quite scared about it all.

eventually he thought sod it, it's been weeks and he'd had no letter from the bank or anything, so he drew it out in cash (had to take a friend with him to carry it fgs!)

the b******s, they waited all that time but as soon as he touched it, they sent a pair of what he described as "heavies" round to his house to tell him he had taken it illegally. err, he drew money out of his bank account?! he was a teenage lad at the time and hadn't known what to do. they were just mean and nasty, why didn't they just ring him as soon as it happened?

it was natwest by the way. mean and nasty imo.
