Workman damaging neighbours property

Update is that the workman has in fact turned up, as promised, and had a look at the damage he caused.

He is still denying it was him (though it quite quite definitely was), but has agreed to pay for it. Hopefully, this will indeed come to pass and he will pay as promised and I don't have to do any more "grovelling apologies" to my neighbour that this has happened:cool:. Fortunately, my neighbour has accepted that its not my fault and isn't holding any hard feelings about it and accepts that I'm trying to sort it out.

Fingers crossed that this will work out okay.

Thanks to those who suggested I should contact the workman. That wasn't my worlds most favourite conversation ever:cool::( and he refused to pay to start with. But, hopefully, he will hold to his promise to do so and all will be well (if having caused me hassle I would much rather not have in order to make sure its all sorted out okay).

Hopefully I wont have to come back and report that he didn't pay up after all.

Money , what sort of builder pays to fix something they refuse to accept liability for ?
