I mean because of the free apps (android) and google play have many free apps for the samsung ..thats why they have come more popular in china and you know how the Chinese like there techno stuff. What free app do you mean?
Samsung overtook Apple in terms of world wide sales a while ago, but maybe that's not what you meant?
Plus - theres samsung electronics in all apple products

Apple store has free apps too (omg never!)
It's chalk and cheese, apple, or android (hybrid, true, whatever), windows, or blackberry.
OP, I'd suggest you walk into the likes of a tescos and play with the smart phones. You probably aren't looking at a second hand iphone 5 (as they're still very dear!) but a 4, or 4s is decent on pictures (but not as good as the new ones camera wise), and is shorter than the iphone 5. However it will give you a very nice idea of how they act and feel. When i refer to apple, feel free to substitute android in there too
Basically, go in somewhere that does phones, and fiddle with them. Don't get drawn into conversations in the likes of real proper phone shops else you'll end up walking out with something on a contract you probably don't want
Also. You will need data on your mobile sim, if you don't already have it. Whatever phone you look at now will need data, if you're looking for a decent phone with a camera that isn't slow.
Just as a by and by, depending on what you're looking to do with photos, you'll should look at either a 32gb iphone, or an android based (windows, whatever) with expandable memory. You can't expand an iphone, but you can expand most smartphones outside of apple with a micro sd card of at least 16gb.
Just go in and play with them all, see which you prefer to use, and take pictures for, then come back with ideas and people can help you more, and avoid the apple vs android arguments
regarding data; you might find your current tarriff unsuitable, but fear not, there are pretty decent ones out there including data, so don't be concerned over that quite yet. If you do have decent data on your own tarriff, most places will send a micro sim (for an iphone) for free, or a couple of quid. You could buy a cutter off ebay, but may find it cheaper to just ask for a new sim.
Also as you're looking second hand iphone, be aware of scams on ebay and the likes, ask for more details if you go down that route. Actually to be honest that can be for a lot of phones, not just iphone. You need to make sure it's on the right network for you too, or sold as network free, or unlocked.0 -
I got a 4s off Ebay a few weeks back. Runs iOS7 fine. Just transferred my SIM card after cutting it down to micro-SIM size with scissors.
Of course you don't get visual voicemail without an iphone add-on on the contract.0
