Vet made my puppy ill - and charged me for this!

I took my puppy for a check up at the vets when I first got her to make sure everything was ok. The vet was foreign and I had a hard time understanding what she was saying, she also couldn't understand me which made things a bit difficult. But anyway she said the pup was fine and there was no sign of infection or a temperature.
She asked me when I had wormed her and what with so I said she had been wormed yesterday with drontal. The vet then insisted that she would need worming again immediately with a 3 day course of panacur. I questioned this but she said the worms wouldn't have been killed with the drontal so this was like a top up. I said that I would be worming her again in two weeks anyway but she kept saying ' no no no' really loudly and insisted I must give her the panacur.
I took her advice the morning after and gave the puppy the panacur (less than 48 hours after giving drontal) and shortly after my puppy became violently ill, vomiting, diarrhoea, weak and floppy, shivering, crying. She had gone from a bouncy puppy to this and I knew this was down to the panacur as she was fine before.
I took her back to the vet who gave her a blood test which came back as fine. She also had no temperature. I said the pup was fine before she told us to give the panacur but the vet said it was nothing to do with that it was actually the worms making her this ill?
She then gave my puppy an antibiotic injection which I questioned as less than 24 hours before, the vet told me there was no sign of infection and had just told me there was no high temperature. She said she was giving the antibiotic to treat the worms!!!!!!! Omg
She then gave her an anti inflammatory injection and a painkilling injection and sent us on our way. The vets charged me £108 but I only paid £30 to cover the cost of the consultation as I felt it was their fault she got ill in the first place and I couldn't understand all these injections.
They have now sent me an invoice as expected but I just wanted some other opinions on this.
Is there any way I can dispute this properly without complaining to the vets as they keep fobbing me off

Complaints can be made through the RCVS.

I would have to ask though..why let the vet give this medication if you had doubts? And then go back to the same vet? I know they are supposed to be professionals, but I would have at least gone to a different vet for a second opinion rather than back to the same vet.0 -

Which medication the wormer or the injections? With the wormer I questioned it however I am not a vet so I trusted what she was saying. The injections once again I questioned them. What was I supposed to do physically stop her by grabbing her arm? I took her to the same vets because they had record of what she was given and what was said in the previous appointment.
Since then I have changed vets.0 -
Sorry about your pup but you were there and could have objected to any of this at any point.
Is there only one vet in the area where you live?0 -
Plus this has been our family vet for over 20 years with no problems. It was just unfortunate that this new woman was the only vet available on those occasions. I also had a witness with me on both appointments.0

Difficult BUT I would grab the pup and said "nope", insisted on seeing another vet at the practise or go somewhere else.0

It was 11.45 on a saturday and I couldn't have caught vets in a different area open. At 12 they then switch over to the out of hours vets now which would have cost me ALOT more too.
I thought that if I were to take her back to the same vets anyway they would admit it was their mistake and treat her accordingly.0 -

There was also no other vet in the practice I had asked for a different one when I made the second appointment.0 -
Panacur is regarded as very safe and very gentle.
But Drontal is very effective so why the need for Panacur? Still don't see that it could be Panacur that caused the problem.DONT BREED OR BUY WHILE HOMELESS ANIMALS DIE. GET YOUR ANIMALS NEUTERED TO SAVE LIVES.0 -

What could it have been? There was no temperature or sign of infection so it wasn't a virus/stomach bug? It happened within the hour of giving the panacur and I hadn't done anything different that day such as changed her food or anything.
Its like saying paracetamol is very mild and doesn't cause any adverse effects. However take that with something paracetamol based or something that has ingredients in it to cause a reaction and its a different story.0
