Happy-bunny I have just read this :
For the complainant, a referral to the FOS is free. However
there is a case referral fee (currently £400) charged by the
FOS to the firm if it is the third or more FOS complaint
made against that firm in that year. As far as the costs of
dealing with the referral are concerned, each party generally
bears its own costs, regardless of the outcome. It is
therefore not generally possible for the firm to recover its
costs against the complainant, even if the FOS dismisses all
the allegations made.
