Winner will drive off in practical Mii city car, worth £8,560
A Birmingham car retailer is offering one lucky motorist the chance to win the hugely popular SEAT Mii – for simply guessing how many model cars are placed inside it!
The free prize draw car – a SEAT Mii S air con worth over £8,500 – takes pride of place in the state-of-the art showroom of Bristol Street Motors SEAT Birmingham at StarCity.
Behind the dark tinted windows of the ‘city slicker’ a number of SEAT Mii model cars have been placed on the seats and in the boot. The car is locked and the keys kept in a private place.
Visitors to the showroom in Watson Road have until October 31 to enter, with the winner set to be revealed in a special ceremony on Saturday, November 2. If there is more than one correct guess, the winners will go into a hat with a name drawn at random.
Already more than 100 people have entered to win the car, which has gained a dedicated following for its credentials as an efficient city car designed for fun. Powered by a three-cylinder petrol engine with 60 PS, the 1.0-litre unit is smooth and deceptively punchy thanks to a 95 Nm torque figure – yet it returns 62.8 mpg combined. With a lowest possible insurance group rating (1E) the Mii has established itself as the car that can keep costs down but still afford its owners some quality “Mii time”.
Stuart Smith, the General Manager of the flagship SEAT dealership, has seen a steady stream of people peering through the car’s windows before filling in entry forms. The model cars placed on the front and back seats and in the boot are mini replicas of the Mii.
“Clearly there’s a lot of people who are desperate to win this Mii,” said Stuart. “It’s a fun little car, more spacious than many might anticipate and easy to park. What’s more, it has got rock-solid build quality and offers great everyday fuel economy.”
