I filled up a tank of petrol in Morrions today, spent £43.00 which displeased me.
After leaving the pump, I used the air machine to pump up my tyres. The charge was 20p per two minutes. I had no idea how much minutes I would need to top up all four tyres. A member of staff walked past, and I asked how much money i would need to top up the machine.
The member of staff asked if I had filled up with petrol, and I told him yes.
The assistant then told me I qualified for a "free"air top up. I was told to return to the cashier in the petrol shop and ask for a code slip to use the air machine. I got my code slip and punched my code in the machine, and was provided with air for free.
There was no sign displayed of this offer. I cant remember how much time I was provided, but i will start asking for this code more often
There is also a vac machine at Morrisons, anyone know if the petrol station offers free vacuming time as well?
If this is a good tip remember to click the thank button!!

I'd bite anybody's arm off for a tank full for £43. I'll be spending closer to £90 in about 5mins.

They also offer points too which convert into vouchers. When filling up fill to a whole litre...not pound and you can optimize the points you get as it's 10 points per litre. 500 litres = 5,000 points = £5.00 voucher.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

The OP makes a good point about Morrisons not advertising free air. I knew this but I bet many customers don't. All Morrisons need to do would be to put a sign on the air machines, but they choose not to.0

Free air at Sainsburys Hove.
I'd quite happily pay the extra £47 to see that. But only if I could film it for Youtube.0 -
Why worry about it costing more to fill one car's fuel tank than another? The car that costs more to fill just has a bigger tank. I'd rather have the car with the bigger tank and likely longer range.0

The whole point of an outside machine with a keypad is that they don't have the security problem of having cash they have to collect, count and generally look after. Free air from Morrisons is like their self-service fuel lanes. All that time saved putting your card in and filling up, then you have to go into the kiosk and join the lengthy queue anyway because their filthy, ill-maintained pumps haven't had the till roll replenished and you need the receipt.0

Morrisons have always offered free air to customers.

So every time you spend £650 on fuel they give you a £5 voucher to spend in their shop, 0.77% return. Doesn't seem worth the hassle tbh.Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0
