Independent Gas Transporters (IGT)

Looking to fix my gas and electricity but finding it difficult to compare because i am on a new development and the gas meter is from an IGT.

Does anyone know if the comparison sites etc take this sort of thing into account?

If it helps npower are the only one of the big 6 who charge extra for IGT

No comparison site I know of includes the effect of an IGT

As Bark01 says, out of the Big 6, only nPower now apply a surcharge for an IGT (and that is only £10 a year)

However the smaller suppliers may charge (and it may a lot more than £10)
Some small suppliers will not accept you as a gas customer if you are supplied via an IGT

The moral of this is check directly with the supplier of your choice (e.g. via their own website)
