inter branch payment what is it.

I got a mini statement out today and it says £15 IBP. I checked on the back and it stands for inter branch payment. I don't know what this is. Can someone please explane thanks.

It just sounds like money that has moved between one bank and another or one branch and another. Have you got other bank accounts or set up any standing orders? If your regular bank has a secure message system send them a note to ask what it was for if you cannot think of anything.0

It might help if you tell us which bank it is.
I'm sure you would then get a staff member on here with the info you want.

I knew it was Natwest as soon i saw it said IBP, it is a transfer on a separate system than for example SBT which would normally appear on it. Call the bank and just ask for clarification on where the payment went to, it could be between two accounts in your name possibly.0

I don't have two accounts only one. I'll ring the bank or pop in to my local branch to see what it is.Come on you Irons0
