Hi, I am having a problem with Google redirects. Almost everytime I do a google search, when I click on a search result, I get redirected to another site. There are numerous different sites that pop up, it is different every time. I'v done a hijackthis log:

Did you follow the malware/spyware removal guide first? Note - you should run HijackThis.exe from its own folder.

Also check the hosts file in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC. Look for any entries other than 127.0.0.1 localhost.

you need to first install hijackthis properly in it's own directory, you are running it from a temp location and you will lose any back ups if we make changes

Well I see you've got a Dell which has myway search assistant installed. You should really take that off.

You have someother stuff there too.

Why don't you visit a site that specialises in technical support via email
http://www.protonic.com and submit the logfile there.

I am a volunteer tech there, so who knows I may pick up this ticket when it comes through. If another tech picks it up, no problem, this is a site which has a selection procedure for all techs and a very active QA dept.

My last comment is that the tech support provided will be one on one.

then click on the "fix Checked" button and reboot and follow the Malware sticky that chippy posted above

no need to go over to the other forum, just follow the steps above...taking instructions to remove stuff from two different forums will only end up in confusion... (if webfred is an experienced techie he should know this !! )

stick here and follow it through to the end, we can take this through in logical steps for you and get rid of this infection, and i can see everything that is being run/removed on your Pc

You have a DNS hijack from that lovely ISP in the Ukraine - Inhoster.

Please download FixWareout from either of these links to your desktop:

http://downloads.subratam.org/Fixwareout.exe
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/lonny/Fixwareout.exe

Disconnect from the internet entirely.

Double-click Fixwareout.exe to run the tool.

Click Next, then Install.

Then make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.

The fix will begin; follow the prompts. When asked to reboot your computer, please do so.

Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.

Once the desktop loads please post the contents of the text file that opens (C:\fixwareout\report.txt) and a new Hijackthis log.
