HI, am looking to open a bank account along with a co signatory which is to be used to receive donations and fund raising monies, can anyone offer any guidance on where I can go to open such an account, we have visited HSBC and Nationwide today and they were quite frankly unhelpful and made us feel we were not worthy!
all suggestions please!

HSBC offer free banking for such organisations on their community banking business account terms. http://www.business.hsbc.co.uk/1/2/business-banking/business-bank-accounts/community-account#maincontent
Unfortunately HSBC have cut back on their numbers of branch business specialists in the past year and the ones left in the larger branches seem to be booked up for weeks in advance. So if you are interested you are best telephoning using the number in the link quoted.0
