BT Online Shop - Faulty Goods

Options
Hi

I bought a laptop from the above in July 2013.

The charging lead has gone faulty.

I emailed the BT Online shop and this is there response:

Thank you for your email.

Unfortunately we will not be able to accept a return for the charger, however.

At this stage I would have to refer you to our manufactures who will be happy to help you obtain a new charger.

I believe my contract of sale is with BT and they are responsible for sorting this out.

Please can anyone advise?

Thank you

  • BT are however they are likely to need the complete package returned rather than just the charger whereas the manufacturer can probably just swap out the charger.

As there is no fight involved I would check what the manufacturer can do first before getting high and mighty about your rights. My uncle used to work for a laptop shop and if you sent it to them they just put it back in the post to the manufacturer so dealing with them only added delay
