Germany to UK International Transfer How Long?

A friend of mine from Germany sent me 150 Euros on Monday to my Halifax account and I am yet to receive it. How long does it take to send from Germany to UK? Also I went into a Halifax branch to ask for a BIC code they gave me BOFSGB2S and when I rang Halifax today they told me it should of been HLFX21F08. But when I rang on Tuesday they told me it should still go through. I am confused its been 4 days since it was sent. Can someone help me?

BTW, you can find BIC on your bank statements.

I rang Halifax and they compensated me £50 and told me most likely it didnt go through because of the wrong BIC Code its LOYDGB2L and they gave me BOFSGB2S

I bank with Lloyds (same group) and my wages come from the Netherlands. It used to take a few days to clear at times, but the last year or so, I've been receiving the funds same or next working day to them being paid.

I've also used services such as HiFX and UKForex, those have generally taken around 3 working days to clear, but are cheaper when transferring large amounts in one go as the banks hide their fees in their exchange rates.

Your BIC and IBAN (You need both) are printed on all of your bank statements.

If it's coming from a regional bank in German may take a few days. As will get routed through an international bank.
