This really annoys me and its about time I fixed it.
The pop-up tooltips that give a 'description' whenever the mouse is hovered over a link or icon etc.
Best way to disable? XP pro please.
Word - Create and edit text and graphics in letters, reports, Web pages, or e-mail messages by using Microsoft Word.
WMP - Plays local and streaming Windows Media files, and many other audio and video formats.
The most annoying one is when on these forums and you hover the mouse over a topic and it pops-up a big silly yellow box containing all the text in the first post.

I'll try Tweakui in a mo.
I just did this - right-clicked Windows media player, clicked the 'shortcut' tab, then deleted the comment, clicked Apply then OK. The pop-up has gone.Bulletproof0 -
I hate stuff on the desktop and I only have 5 things in the quicklauch bar thing and I've deleted the comments in those so I don't know if this'll work - open Tweakui, click Taskbar, uncheck 'enable ballon tips', apply, ok.
Does this work?Bulletproof0
