Royal Mail Shares - copy of application?

Does anybody have a screenshot of the share application web page or a pdf form that shows the same info?

I'm one of those who didn't ask for a certificate, but just told by equiniti that i did when i did not receive an email. I'm furious as I don't do paper and would never have requested such.

I need to see the wording in case it was my mistake, their bad wording, or a computer bug!

  • Not sure if this helps, but the generated PDF had a section that said:
Your shares will be held on your behalf in the Royal Mail Nominee Share Service. If you wish to receive a share certificate instead, please place an X in this box. For further information, please read the relevant section of the guide to completing the Application Form.

If memory serves, you would have to a have checked the box on the web form to select this.

Cold comfort if you wanted to have sold already but when you get the paper certs you'll be able to sell them via a cheaper broker than Equiniti.
  • I am capable of human error, but I would *never* have ticked such a box. Grrr, I hate them, may request compensation.

The top box on the application was for a share certificate rather than nominee.

The second box was for a "hard copy" of the shareholders pack.

So if I ticked the 2nd box what does that mean? What is the difference between a certificate and a shareholder pack?
