I have received notification from Veronica Gingell, Operational Services Manager that the parking charge notice has been cancelled. She has however asked for an explanation from Parking Eye and once I am in receipt of this I will contact you further.

    I hope this is acceptable.

    Kind Regard

  • The code for the POPLA is valid for 28 days from the date of issue by the PPC so as you only received yours yesterday there should be plenty of time to construct an appeal if necessary. (Although some PPCs do try and backdate the code to try and time out appeals).

Parking Prankster has as very useful breakdown of what the POPLA code means:

Although as the principal has cancelled the charge, POPLA should not be needed.

Parking Eye will have to notify you directly that the charge has been cancelled - hopefully this will be forthcoming shortly. Give it a few days at least - then you could consider emailing them - reminiding them that the principal (hospital) has instructed them to cancel and could they please confirm this by return.

You should get a cancellation letter next week, that's what happened when Aldi cancelled a fake PCN by Parking Eye for my friend who I helped a bit!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi I've just received a PCn from this company at this car park, I entered at 13.10, took 12 mins to find a space, went to ticket machine to which it says " upto 20mins free" I entered my reg num & it came up £1.20 to pay. I cancelled as I wasn't staying for more than 20 mins. I assumed when it said £1.20 for ticket, u didn't need a ticket for the 20mins free. I entered the hospital & left with pin 10mins. I left car park at 13.46. Spending 35 mins from entering to leaving including 12 mins waiting for a space.
How can word my appeal for this situation?

    Thank you
