Its proabably a reaction the the mineral oil or fragrance, most likely the fragrance, dont keep using it, stop and let your skin clear and the try again, you'll soon know.

Pretty certain it doesn't contain mineral oil. Plant oils only

Give it a break, let your skin clear and then try again. If you have a reaction again you will know there is something in the ingredients that is not for you.

I can take light makeup off with it, but not gel eyeliner or waterproof mascara, I use an eye make up remover first.

As well as the muslin I bought a stack of white cotton flannels and throw them into a hot wash. I don't find it a faff and always use a hot cloth cleanser for at least one of my cleanses.

If you want to try another one, I have read very good reports of the Superdrug ones, less expensive and cruelty free too, but have not used them yet, will try the Vitamin E one at some stage.

  • I tend to use a separate eye make up remover, I'm loving the two phase Nivea one that you have to shake, removes everything really quickly, would say it's on a level with the Clinique Take the Day off which I used to use.

I use Cleanse & Polish as does my daughter, and where I don't have a problem with spots, I change my cloth twice a week, but with my daughter's teenage skin, it is changed daily to minimise any more dirt getting into her skin and causing any more problems. I use the original version and the limited edition one with grapefruit & patchouli, and neither seem to be causing any more breakouts than usual with my daughter, although of course anyone can react to anything! Hope you find it can work for you :)

I wash mine with the next wash going in the machine!
  • Hi do you all use the Liz Earle moisturiser with the cleanser or a different one? Just wondered if they work together.

Also I've heard you shouldn't put the cloths in the wash with fabric conditioner and they are best being put in with towels but my towels are purple, colours will run.

I don't use a Liz Earle day time moisturiser as I find it gives me breakouts, (but I use the lovely Superskin one as a night time one), but my daughter uses the light one for her teenage skin and it seems to work very well. As for the cloths, in they go with whatever wash I'm doing, but now and again, if they become 'less than white' I put them in with my whites wash with a stain remover or bio powder and they come out white again. If I put them in with my towels (which are washed on a 90 degree wash) they tend to come out ok and my towels are all different colours :)
  • I would say stop using it for a while and see what happens.. although I have heard good things about that product so maybe its just bad luck

If anyones looking for a moisturiser clinique (can't remember the name - the yellow one) is amazing!!!

My grandma used it for years and she looks incredible for her age

    Just a tip!
