Can you be signed off one job (work related stress) but still work your second job or do you need to be signed off that too?

I would say if its anything that stops you working it stops you working full stop so at both or I would question how 'ill' the person was if they were managing to get to the 'other' job. We’ve had to remove your signature. Not true, you could have a desk job for one and manual labour for another job, break a finger that prevents you working manual labour but you are still ok on the desk job.
Extreme examples but yes you can be signed of in one job and not the other.
However, if the company u are signed of from see you working elsewhere it will get their hackles up and they will likely look to see if they can take action against you.
It really depends on how similar the jobs are as to whether you should be signed of both IMO. If they are similar then I would look to get signed of from both.Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0 -
Two completely different jobs. One is office based the other retail. Boss at office has been giving me a hard time since returning from mat leave. Would love to resign and I am seeking other employment. Retail is just few hours at weekend on a temp basis - pay not that great but loving it. Don't even want to get up in the mornings to go to office job.0

so you are only suffering from stress as one job and when you go to the other you are ok?devils_vixen wrote: »Two completely different jobs. One is office based the other retail. You need to get this checked but legally I would say you are ok to be sick at one and working at retail but if your boss see's this they obviously won't be happy and ultimately it isn't going to sort the issues you have at the office which you will need to obviously sort somehow.Don't trust a forum for advice. Stress surely stops you from doing any job you cant pick a chose when the stress comes on or is stopping you from going in as its the job you are getting a hard time at.We’ve had to remove your signature. Stop being ridiculous. It was an example of the top of my head which you of course understood.
A person doesn't pick and choose when they become anxious or stressed but different settings and different circumstances can cause different effects.
I suggest you stop digging this hole now.Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0 -
So many people using the 'I am stressed' as an excuse not to man up and deal with things.Takeaway_Addict wrote: »Stop being ridiculous. It was an example of the top of my head which you of course understood.

I don't disagree but that wasn't the OP's question. If the Dr feels she needs signing of then they will do and the OP can discuss with the doctor whether this is for one or both jobs.So many people using the 'I am stressed' as an excuse not to man up and deal with things.Don't trust a forum for advice. Stress seems to be the new definition of "don't like my job much". Seems very common in places that pay full sick pay like the civil service.0
