New Desktop computer-Where to buy??

Advice needed please on best deal and price for a new desktop computer.

Box with operating system needed but not monitor.

Office work with no gaming speed etc needed.

My not so old system is showing "no signal" and I have changed the cable and hooked up a different monitor AND taken out graphics card and reseated it, so rather than throwing money at trying to repair it I think it best to purchase new setup.

Try removing, cleaning and re-seating the RAM module/s.

Have you checked the fan on the graphics card? If that's seized up and not spinning, it won't work for long, if at all.

You might also want to remove, clean and re-seat any expansion cards in the system as well, just in case.

EDIT: I see you've tried re-seating the graphics card already, did you clean the contacts when you took it out?

What type of graphics card is it? PCI, AGP or PCI Express?

Also, could you borrow another graphics card and try that in case it's just the graphics card? (If so, a Google search might turn something up.)
