The more I think about augitna's post the more I think it is an interesting point

Here's a ridiculous refund scenario to illustrate it

Say you are doing a cobra shop and all you buy is one case of cobra and 7 different 10p sweets ...none of wihch compare

Your apg is £7.03, all down to the (supposed) difference in price between Cobras

Imagine you want to return a flump :rotfl:
    • Should the CS refund you the price paid (10p) ?
    • Should the CS refund you the price paid less the contribution of that item towards APG?
In this case not buying the flump would have meant not getting an APG of £7.03 so cost of flump less contribution to APG is 10p-£7.03=£6.93 that YOU owe Sada for returning the flump
    • Do they tally up the number of remaining items on your receipt, realise you have no longer bought 8 different items and give you 10p refund but write "APG void" on the receipt?

Now moving away from the ridiculous scenario, how would this be dealt with in reality for Joe Public, doing a normal 8 item shop? I don't think it's covered in the T&Cs if you return one item from a purely 8 item shop....is it?

    Discuss :D

Did a Tesco shop. The mash is now working whether or not you get a flashed pack. (I appreciate people may know this but I got so fed up with the bickering that I didn't read through everything.) But went to CS to swop the mash for something else and someone was there with a meal deal where the goose fat roasties had not worked. She didn't have a flashed pack, so that one is still a go-er.

Nothing else surprising though I did manage to use some coupons:

Qty Item Description Total Weight Tesco Asda Sainsbury's Morrisons*

    1x TESCO FINEST BEEF GOULASH 400G - £6.00 † n/a n/a n/a

    Tesco comparable total £13.84 £8.46 £6.81
    Competitor shop total £7.85 £7.70 £6.26
    The difference £5.99 £0.76 £0.55

Am a bit cross that I didn't get up to £40 for my HH coupon which I would have done if the meal deal had not worked but still pleased, especially as I had £1.25 off the cheese (CC voucher which came in the post). Had planned to buy Flora proactiv and SA accepted the MOC but then found it in my trolley and gave it back to her. Decided to buy it next time!

    Hope this helps someone.

Oh, good morning by the way!!:rotfl::)

What I wanted to post - and it brings me no joy:( - Tiger Tails Baguette has gone down in price to 60p each in A:(:(:(. (I don't care if people don't like those :( symbols - you're getting them, so there!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)

Working out at about a doubling in price if trying now vs Morries in twos. Right, I think I won't get any of the Avs Morries shopping now that I was going to do. None of those fillers needed.:) There - saved money by not spending/wasting any of it on a further shop.:T:T Basket cost: £0.00. I've decided not to do that particular shop at all now!:D I think I'll stick to vs T, S and W (but only due to getting my vs M shopping last week, sadly minus the Tiger Baguette that had sold out last week).

I might well want to return a flump (that's if I'd bought one in the first place) - aren't they much smaller:eek: now than they were before? Looks like they've folded the ends of the packs in, so the actual flump in it is much less.

Of course I'm not answering your substantive post at the moment, as only just got back here and yet to catch up (I'll read it of course when I do and perhaps enter the discussion:rotfl: - oh no...!!!:D:D:rotfl::rotfl:).

Now - to print or not to print??:(:undecided:)

    Why £0.46?

10 items (9 different) on your bill qualify for comparisonASDALogoWhite.gif Morrisons

    CheaperSignBlue.gif+£0.97
    0.13 x ASDA Root Ginger per kg£0.26£0.26:rotfl::rotfl:
    0.24 x ASDA Carrots per kg£0.21£0.21
    0.42 x ASDA Onions per kg£0.31£0.37
    0.59 x ASDA Tomatoes per kg£1.16£1.17

1 x ASDA Chosen by You Dry Roasted Peanuts (50g)£0.65N/A
    Comparison total (compared products only)£13.28£14.25

Root Ginger not comparing vs T and comparing more expensively (on that price paid anyway) vs S and W. Might get away with no loss-out if only 2p and then rounds down? Otherwise, vs Morries only now, due to A rollback (following M's reduction in price per kg:)). Not available to N. Ireland shopping.

    30. If a customer has performed a Check, received a voucher and then returned one of the items that was part of the Check, the voucher will be invalid.

    31. If a voucher has been redeemed from a receipt, the value of any refund given due to the return of an item on that receipt will be offset against the value of the redeemed voucher.

    http://www.asdapriceguarantee.co.uk/Administration/Terms-And-Conditions.aspx

But to be fair, they don't really follow that instore do they? The instore CS, depending on store, probably know less of the T&Cs than we do, so they'd probably just refund on the product as normal, not know whether or not the receipt had given an APG, and then you sign for the return, they give you the receipt back. ...And then it's in the hands of the SA next time, as to whether or not they take it (or even look at it).

I checked my main clubcard account a week ago and I had no points! It said...
Sorry, we are currently processing your points balance for the last collection period.
Please try again in a few days when these details will be available to view.

I just checked it again just now and it still says the same!! Is this normal?
Mine is the same, checked Tuesday and again today...
