Whilst im here... My eldest is 16 soon. Should be a time of celebrating, but....im a bit worried.
All that stuff in court those three yrs ago, stated ex husband and paternal family should have no contact whatsoever with son or my family, until he turns 16. Becoming an adult and having the ability to make his own choices...load of bull. Anyway, im eginning to lose real sleep and have having real ad nightmares about him (ex) turning up on the doorstep. Its driving me bonkers and i feel so sad for my son. He mght be growing up but it was a terrible situation and it scares the hell out of me that his dad will 'win' him round. Dont really want to speak to family about it but your thoughts would be appreciated. It woudnt be as simple as telling him to do one, should me nightmare happen. Ive got other kids and he is a nutter, hence the court order. Im not exaggerating! Should i may be talk to solicitor? Only troublewith that is money! Could buy a few houses with the final cost f my case.

Have you spoken to your son about it? It would be worth having the conversation to see what he feels about it before worrying yourself. If the courts said it was his decision, and his choice is to tell his dad to get lost, then it makes your life easier. Dont make decisions behind your sons back that could push him away. Explore the choices that he has, but make sure that it does not become a "you vs him" situation which could easily change to a "you vs him&son" situation. It may be hard, but treat him as the 16 year old that he is and he will respect you for it and it will highlight the faults in the Ex.

HUKD quote of the day; re: free newspaper when spending £5:

    'Waitrose is expensive though.

I can get a weeks worth of shopping in Iceland (2 loaves, 12 eggs, beans) in Iceland...and still have enough to buy my Sunday Sport.

I don't think Waitrose even sell the Sunday Sport...

Still voted hot for posh people who read The Sun, etc'

Yes I have this promo on four of my packs. Was only on the dark muscovado ones. :)

Mine were on the light muscovado ones. Ordered the tin 3 weeks ago but hasn't arrived yet, but it did say it may take 6 weeks.

Scamps could you update my age to 30 please? :D

Evening all, tried a wee hunt around a couple of Sainbos for crisps but to no avail. I did find some baking bargains though; vege-gel for 40p and 4 packs of Dr. O's dark chocolate chunks for 33p (they go out of date in 2015). Discovered the chocolate chunks had codes for free bake ware too (either an apron, spatula or mini recipe book) so I ordered a spatula. I'm making a recipe book and a mini kit for my brother for Christmas so it's going with that. They also had Kilner labels reduced to £1.75 which is handy for my limoncello, vanilla extract and other bits and bobs I'm making. :)

    How's everyone today? :A

You should buy Impulse in 2s. You bought an odd number, therefore the odd one compares at its actual price in A5DA of £1. The other 2 are comparing at the multibuy price from MSM of £3.50 for 2, which explains the total for 3 of £4.50 (£1 + £3.50).

Thank you for your time but.... Here lies one of many issues. Son doesnt want to talk about it, not surprising. Hard to explain so you get a grasp of the complexicity but son was 'brain washed' by ex - words of the recorder in court, couldnt have a normal judge because of complexiness! I think son is just keeping his guard up. He blames himself a little bit for some of the stuff that happened, even though i have reassured him a zillion times, i know he feels a bit of guilt the poor thing. He did tell me last yr that he would tell him to eff off!

You know those cases you hear of where ex does something bad to his ex....i worry about repercussions. Ex has nothing to lose and he will see it as my fault if a, he attemps any contact, and b, if he doesnt get the result he wants. I know everything was taken away from him already, but what if hes hanging on to this last thread of hope?
