Saw somebody with a packet of Pom Bears in their trolley yesterday in A and had to smile (for those who've been around long enough to remember the other Mumsnet thread :D).

    It's here: http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/mumsnet_classics/1056940-to-think-this-couple-are-bonkers?pg=1

Warning - it's a slow burn, but well worth it for the account of the rematch. I think it was tweets who originally posted it on here? It's not rude like the mug one though. :)
    Hope is not a strategy.

  • Very interesting conversation with a SA in T who was stocking up the Special K. I was just having a nose at the SEL labels and mentioned that someone had told me they were on offer. She just giggled and said oh yes they were 3 for £2 for a few hours yesterday. I pretended I hadn't got any and she said T have so much stock of Special K and they are classed as a seasonal item (people want to diet for summer etc) so tesco do a price mishap to get rid of them. I said oh wasn't it a mistake and she replied "never..."

Bull! Why did they rush to take stock off or to do store corrections if it wasn't a mistake?!? Why not just reduce to 69p a box and do a massive promo?! Total rubbish!
If I had a pound for every pound I'd lost, I'd be confused
  • Anyone know if Special K is still working today on APG?

That's all very well, but how comes other stores dont do the same. I still think there is someone who works for T's that does the online prices and has a grudge against their employer :rotfl:

Thanks for this - I suspect that this may explain the discrepancy. I definitely bought 6 but there are only 5 shown on my receipt!

What was the 6th one that doesn't show please - so we know to avoid it ;)
