Go for it
I save where I can so that I can treat myself occasionally and this counts as a treat
I agree.
Went to Newcastle tonight and visited John Lewis to look at something that I've really wanted for a long time. It's a designer piece for the kitchen. I can get it for £16 cheaper online but wanted to check it out.
I love it. I'll order it on line tomorrow. I'll keep you in suspense until I receive it.
Also got a beautiful throw from Fenwicks and some cushions from BHS for £12. Down from £30 to £12. Duck egg blue. Really big ones:)
I love the Late Friday afternoon feel to the town:) lots of girls go out shopping in their big chunky hair rollers....ready for the night I assume and there's the hen parties and stag nights, and the people winding down after a day at the office. Love it
Got my first ever buzz today. The chocolate didn't last 2 minutes:(

Still being ignored by Achica :rotfl:
My Mum got the Ts mailing today. She regularly spends a lot of money on the weekly shop because of all the cooking her and my Dad do so it won't be a problem to get to the minimum spend. I did read the T&Cs though- has to be all in one transaction. Don't think Floflos and other tricks will apply as they're going by money spent?
i hope to womble a few pp and i am sure the clothes i buy will not fit. ideal time to use a few coupons so hopfully more than just coke zero and doughnuts will turn up but then my spend is £50. does anyone think this is instead of hh tillspits?
dd has £110 spend a week to do but along with clothing she plans to buy a couple of duplicate items which were for wedding gifts. fingers crossed the cc vouchers have a food double up which would help her.
Promised to do her lists for maximum pp and print coupons for her. With careful planning and sending her dh to get refunds on the last 3 shops (after she has the £60 voucher) think we can do it.
I will have cc vouchers for hudl for both dgc so that could sort 2 of her weeks out if needed.

well surprise surprise from my superlist - all accounts suspended, no cashback paid out for the whole of September, they want personal copies of all private birth certificates etc to reopen the accounts, so I am well out of pocket there as it is too long for the items to be returned to store. I hadn't even got that many things, was just beer at the start of September when there was no limit on items!! They have only suspended them because I have nagged about so many missing payments!!
but I am part of the elite and 2 can play that game0 -

I saw on an advert that Morries have Persil on offer at £3.
According to their website it is 'Its a Stonka' Persil Laundry Powder 25 Washes 2.125k/ liquid. Do you know if this is a special pack called "it's a stonka" or is this just what they are calling their offer? It's £6.78 in A so would make a nice apg, but only if it's not a special pack.
Thank you very muchly in advance
etaJust looked at the pics on their site and it seems "it's a stonka" is what they are calling this offer <rolls eyes>. The box/bottle looks normal. I'll leave this post though as I think it's a decent deal.
This is Persil 25 with washboosters. (The powder ones anyway.) Theoretical maximum of 3 per customer in M so APG might (might not?) compare only that many if it picks that up. As you point out, there is some liquid ones on offer too.
Oh, there's more than "It's a stonka!" from M. Reminds me I meant to quote a post & picture from the last thread, showing an "offer" on some item and showing it as "Now" (such and such a price). One of us regulars pointed out M were on offer and may be good to buy vs. I was to come on to say "but the previous week it was £x lower in price". "Now" often seems to mean a price increase. Beware of it! Although this week I did find one "now" item in M whose price did seem to be reasonable - can't remember which (so much for excellent memory:rotfl:), but, come on, hundreds of items, literally, and the price is somewhere within the item details I've taken down. (Although not the "now" bit.)
Also "Great value" - that appears to be M code for "price increase". Such as the teabags recently, and other items earlier on, I noticed at half price £2.89 final week of the offer and then next week "Great Value" (their words) £4:eek::eek:.
Crunchy Nut Cornflakes a year or so ago - £1.34 for 'ages' and then £2.00 "Great value". Avoid.
(I've not noticed any "Great value" item that has been a price reduction. All the ones I've seen, in the several years of weekly checking, they are price increases compared to the previous week.)
Also -? - things like the Pork Shoulders come off offer at £2.50/kg and then the next week they are £4.00/kg or suchlike (no actual details taken down as ignored as not good) with a crossed through price of over £5/kg. Or items that were on mbuy the previous week - whose price now is the same price, albeit you no longer need to buy two - last week's price £1.69/Any 2 for £2 for example, you would have bought two. Now £1.00 with crossed out £1.69. Price static as far as I see it! Never £1.69 as I would never have bought at that - and only for the fools who bought number of one last week.

But 3 good reasons why...
They are black Wayfarers (not Clubmaster) :T
They really suit me
and lovely SA knocked £10 off:D
I had Ray Bans
Mine were Light Havana Wayfarers and I really liked them
I think mine suited me
They fell off the sun lounger on hols ...
and my dozy husband stood on them :mad::mad:0 -
Anyway, I'll look at the Persils on msm and see if they match up!0
