Can not re install Windows 7

When trying to install Windows 7 , it will load the windows files, ( white bar go's across the screen ) then i get the windows 7 background ,the disc drive spins for a bit ( no light on ) then stops spinning , the computer "working light" is doing nothing, the pc is just idle , then a long time after looking at that, the option to choose keyboard setup, language and region box appears, click ok, then "setup is starting.." appears on screen and nothing happens,
i have tried 4 different dvd writers ( one brand new ) in my pc, two versions of win 7, , on all attempts and dvd writers the same problems as above and all stop at the same place.
i have tried the discs in 2 different laptops all of them work fine,
could some hardware on my pc be stopping win 7 from installing? ,
the pc runs fine ( windows 7 ) just want clean install as its been 2 yrs since i last did it, many thanks

Only thing I can think of is either: Dodgy Ram, dirty install disk or it can't see the drives.
If you're feeling adventurous and the drive you're installing it on is empty then give this a look:

how much ram is in the PC? and how fast is the cpu? might just be decompressing the install files. that's why it looks like it's stopped.Laters
