I ordered 4 new tyres from Halfords (I know !!) at 9am this morning to be fitted on Friday and now wish to cancel this order - the reason being that my car dealers suddenly had a change of heart and have offered to replace them FOC !!
I have emailed my local branch of Halfords to cancel the order and to request a refund of my £257 paid by Visa - email read - reply ziltch ...
I assume that they have to refund my money in full ?
Their T&C give me up until the day before (ie tomorrow) to cancel with no charge - after that, it is discretionary - but could be no refund..

You'd probably be better off asking this on the Consumer Rights board.
Btw, who's the dealer supplying & fitting new tyres FoC? My car could do with some new ones and if I could get them for free ... well isn't that what MSE is all about?

I assume they failed to check the tracking in a previous service ?You'd probably be better off asking this on the Consumer Rights board.

No - it appears that the tyres themselves were faulty (possibly due to poor storage in the 12 months between being manufactured and fitted to my car)....0
