MBNA being difficult

Hi,
A few weeks ago I received a letter from MBNA along with a claim form due to them believing that I may have been missold PPI on a credit card I opened with them in 2006.
I knew I'd been previously missold PPI but didn't know which bank I had the card with at the time so never pursued the matter until this form arrived.
Anyway, I've come back from holiday today to find a letter from them saying that they have been unable to successfully identify my account and that if they don't receive the relevant info by 25/10 they'll be unable to proceed with my complaint - I don't understand how they can respond this way when they contacted ME using my details that must be on their system (name, address, last 4 digits of card number).
Can anybody advise on how I should respond to their letter please?

Supply the info they've requested or call them and find out what the problem actually is and what they need.0
