new wireless thermostat fitted, heating will be on if switching off the thermostat

hello, afternoon

as the old salus unit refused to serve us, i phoned heat team to do the replacement, the new set is althc014(tx). its looks the same as old one, so does the setting, except on the receiver end it has a on off switch to enable or disable the heating.

after testing a bit i found out, if i switch off the thermostat(by pressing up and down buttons), the boiler will start to fire up again on heating.

is this normail or the engineerer did the wrong wiring?

Sounds like they've just connected the call for heat (Lr) to the wrong terminal on the receiver

Just out of interest, why did you call Heatteam rather than a local reputable electrician/plumber?

I believe the Altech stuff is Salus re-branded.

hi, myser. the only reason i call heat team is i am still in the service plan with them. and sometimes they do visit us quickly. i know in many occasion, like this time, they have to visit twice or more solve the problem.
