Do credit file companies 'sell on' current information to investigating companies?

forum virgin here:eek: so sorry for brief description.
Im suspicious that if I apply to these companies they will profit by passing on my current contact information to a company/person that I choose to have no contact with? has any body had this problem? (I have not defrauded anybody but upset an annoying sole trader that not even the courts can deal with any more after me suing him he wants revenge)
suspicion is, credit companies may also have a sister investigation office so he could buy my current location/contact details and start anonymously annoying me again?

They will, but not directly.
Any info you provide will be used to populate your file. Therefore any firm you give permission to will be able to look at the file and see the consolidated information - but you still have the right to reuse to let your credit file be accessed under the DPA provisions.0 -
Yes, they do.
Equifax will give out your information...
My partner was contacted by a DCA and was told her telephone number was given to them by Equifax. This was the home phone number that no companies had been given bar Equifax so it most definitely came to them via Equifax.

Don't rely on anything I write as it may be wrong!!!0 -

I know you are only the first so far to come up with this and im hoping Martin or somebody will have the inside knowledge too also clarify their devious tactics of god like double standards.0 -
To sound a bit blunt read the terms in all your credit agreements, you permit this. Any credit you get appears on credit reports with which the data can be sold on, the only way to avoid it is to not have credit, if you have no credit you can't buy anything long term like a car or house. If you manage your credit well it doesn't matter, if your have outstanding debts companies can track you down, that's it in a nutshell.0

I was referring to the CRA actually giving the information as opposed to a company seeing it by performing a search of your credit file.
Credit files don't have your contact numbers on them but Equifax had it as we registered to get credit reports.I have numerous qualifications in Business and Finance, Accountancy, Health and Safety and am now studying Law.

Experian have a service called autrotrace plus. Google it.
Don't think a random person with a grudge can just sign up and use that though? Needs to be financial link, such as DPA registered creditor that can show that you ow them?Still rolling rolling rolling......
