Hi
Does any one know if I can leave EON to go to another supplier without having to pay any penalty / charges? im on a standard tariff, and I've just had my pre pay meters changed to credit meters free of charge but im looking to change to SSE as they seem to be cheaper than EON when comparing current standard tariff charges...
or will they make me pay for the meter change?
Thanks

Hi Euphoria1z
There aren't any cancellation fees on our standard tariff (E.ON Energy Plan). This leaves you free to switch supplier at any time without penalty.
Also, we won't give you a back dated charge for the meter exchange.
Hope this answers your questions. Give me a shout if you need any more info as will be happy to help.

thanks....do you happen to know if eon energy plan is cheaper than preypayment as my current pre paid meter says its charging 13.23 per unit and the energy plan is 12.85 according to uswitch?
also is the standing cheaper also on credit meter?0 -
Hi Euphoria1z
The standing charges on our standard credit tariff are virtually the same as those for prepayment customers.
Prepayment kWh prices, though, are a little cheaper than those for credit customers on the standard tariff.
This is currently the case in all regions.
However, prepayment customers don't have access to our non-standard tariffs. Nor do they have the option of earning extra discounts for paying with a Monthly Direct Debit.
The prepayment figure you mention (13.23) includes VAT but the credit figure (12.85) is without VAT. If you add VAT, this works out at 13.49p per kWh on the standard credit tariff.
Hope this helps Euphoria1z.
