Bank overdraft debt - Scotland

Hello, I am a first time poster but I have been reading for a few months now, and I am hoping someone may have the right advice or links for me to answer my queries.
My situation: I had a bank account, started in 2006, with a student overdraft of £200. I fell into financial hardship, not long after taking a loan from the bank, but they hit me with all these different terms and conditions as to why my PPI would not be valid (I have since reclaimed this back and paid off the loan in full) but the bank kept charging my current account during this period, and on 2 occasions, increased the overdraft by a further £100, making the total overdraft available, £400. (I never authorised these overdrafts at the time and the account kept racking up debt) Clearly I was not taking this cash out the hole in the wall, since my over draft was only supposed to be £400.
The current account defaulted in December 2008, with a final balance of over £1,000.
I have signed up to monitor my own credit reports, and can see that the bank seem to have updated the account details just a few months ago, and I have never spoken to them, or dealt with them regarding this accounts arrears.
My last contact with this bank was in december 2012 when I managed to clear off the loan, but no notice of the bank current were mentioned or discussed. Where do I stand on this debt being removed from my credit report so that I can get on with my life, debt free?
