Hi,
Im wondering if anyone can help. We are planning on redecorating the downstairs of our mid terraced house. This consists of living room, dining room & small kitchen. We have damp under our bay windows at the front and back and have been told we need the whole downstairs re damp proofed (every wall) due to having a suspended floor. For this work, total re-skim, new skirting, fitting new laminate floor ,lowering kitchen ceiling and installing spot lights and refitting new fire surround in living room we are being quoted just over £4000. Thoughts?

For that amount of work, it doesn't sound unreasonable at all.
However! Is the damp a genuine issue? How long have you lived there? The first thing you look for when you have a suspended floor is adequate ventilation under the floorboards. Rising damp (which you would inject for) wouldn't be my first thought.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
