What phone do you have? Make & model.
    1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
    2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
    3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?

    Charging my S3 as i write .
It is not cheap but is quality solid hefty block looks like smartphone .Charges via USB or AC adaptor ( but you don't get one ).
Cables yes for SGS3 and like wise the Samsung 30 pin .
Plus if you had an odd phone you should be able to use the connector that you have as charge out is standard usb port .
