Hi,
I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
I have some Aviva shares that I have had for donkeys years...from when Norwich Union floated.
I am thinking now might be a good time to sell them (It would certainly help cashflow), but I haven't got a clue how to go about this - especially
1. Where the best place to look at their prices would be..to make sure I am not selling them at a daft time.
2. How to actually go about selling them.
3. Where to go to sell them, to be charged as little as possible for the priviledge.
I'd be really grateful for any advice...I am a bit of a numptie in this regard;)

I'm guessing you hold these shares in certificated form....
You could use someone like X-O.co.uk share dealing services (£5.95 per trade) for a cheap method of selling the Aviva shares.
Open a Share Dealing account with X-O.co.uk (free to open and no annual account charges) then transfer your share certificates in to your account and sell them for £5.95 per share holding.
How do I transfer in stock that I hold in the form of certificates?

Thanks - that's really helpful.
Reading that this afternoon, I think I'll hang onto them for a while longer:)0
