help me find a better bank account

as the title says really!! I currently have an account with NatWest have done for years and it hasn't caused me any problems but its a basic account, I just do the basics no overdraft facility which isn't a problem and I can only use my card at NatWest or rbs cash machines so that can be a bit of a pain. I keep getting asked now if I want to upgrade my account and I kinda think I should but not sure if NatWest is best, like I said I've had no issues but maybe a different account is better for me? I also think the reason they are offering to upgrade my account is because I have a special needs child who has recently been awarded dla and that is making my account look healthier lol cos previously there was only our child benefit and my part time wages going in.
i'm not very good at this sort of thing so thought maybe somebody could offer some suggestions for better accounts.
