Disabled parking in Edinburgh?

Does anyone know if

1, you can use a blue badge issued in England to park in Scotland?

2, any areas to park all day using a disabled badge in Edinburgh for free?

Thanks

If it's an up to date EU Disabled Parking permit, you can use it throughout Europe, but if you go on to the Edinburgh Council website, they have a map of the disabled parking throughout the city.

The permit has just been issued so I'd imagine it'll be the EU one

    Thanks :)

Remember you don't need the clock in Scotland either. You can park on lines with the badge if needed, just check for loading restrictions.

There are a lot of spaces along the lanes in Edinburgh where you park horizontal to the kerb. In that respect you don't need a disabled space per say as there won't be cars to the side of you (care needed if you have to get a wheelchair from the boot though)
What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?

That'll be even better as we'll be leaving the car for a fair few hours

Just consider not leaving it where it is an obstruction :)

Certain Councils require a clock (Dumfries & Galloway) so as this is in Scotland, a bit of an over-simplification to advise no clock is needed here. Take it - and use it when you need to. It isn't common, certainly - but they are in use.

I'm pretty sure you do not need to display a clock in Scotland at all- that's what the book that comes with the badge will say.

Dumfries and Galloway do use however use parking clocks for disc parking zones in their towns.
