Can anyone suggest a laptop for me please? I use a ipad most of time but need a laptop for household accounts, printing and picking up email to print. Think I would need excel and word on it. I have no idea what the best value is or what spec I need, so would really appreciate any advice. Thanks

Any modern laptop can do the job. Have you set any budget? Do you want something bare minimum or mid-range?
However, have you consider getting keyboard for your ipad?0 -
Toshiba Satellite C850-19Z is good at £173.99. Add another 4GB RAM for £18 and you're off.0

Whats your budget and is that all you want to do with it, NiftyDigits laptop can do everything you have listed0 -
If you have money go for Apple Macbook air if you need something less expensive anything from Asus is good too. If it's only for wokr like you said (excel, printing etc) and not for gaming you can search computer hardware shops outlets for clearance laptops, they will be older /slower but for excel and internet anything that is even 5 years old will work like a charm.0

Why not get an external keyboard for your iPad and use Numbers for your accounts?
Printing is trickier. If you haven't yet bought one, get one that supports AirPrint and you're sorted. If you already own one, then check whether it's compatible with AirPrint at the same link. If it's not, there are still ways to use it with your iPad.0
