Misleading eBay ad

Hi All,

Long time lurker rare poster here.

I recently purchased what I thought was 3 of an item, the ad read " 2x med. shorts ....... As have xl."

I did miss an update to the listing to say the xl had sold my fault I know for not reading the post again before bidding.

But the package arrived today and one one item inside.

I used the contact seller option asking why only one pair as I wouldn't have bid as high as I did for just one.

The response was "Sorry for confussion, but it was an add for 3 seperate pair, if your not happy i will take them back as i have others whom asked if they had all gone"

I am unsure where to go from here, I want the item actually I want all three. I will have to pay to return them and them go through the process of getting a refund.

Will I get the initial postage back?

Can I open a case to demand the other pair? Or maybe a reduction in payment due to the misleading ad.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
