Hi there! Advocat is no longer protecting my cats from fleas and neither is Frontline
Any recommendations for flea treatments that the fleas are not yet immune to??
Thank you

It might be that you need to treat your carpets and upholstery as well as your cats. I know Frontline that you buy without prescription only kills the adult fleas but the stuff you get off the vet, Combo, interrupts the life cycle by killing the eggs as well (I think). It has an extra ingredient in it for this purpose. (I didn't realise this until it was explained by another poster on here, Chameleon.) The extra ingredient in Frontline Combo is also in some of the stuff you can get for your carpets etc. I've never had to use the carpet stuff so don't know the name offhand. Somebody who knows more than me will be along soon I expect!

When our cats had fleas in January I used Indorex Spray to treat the whole house (including furnishings). I was using Fibro Spot on (same ingredients as frontline) but now use Advantage.0

I have used Staykill this time for the home - but the last one I used 'Acclaim' certainly worked much faster! But over the weeks the staykill HAS worked!0

Is an actual reaction to my posts, so please don't rely on anything I say.
