Jealousy when someone else wins

Does anyone else get jealous when other people have more luck than you? I am happy to see other people happy but I do get a little bit envious sometimes.
At the moment I am jealous that other people have won a £1000 metro prize as I had entered every day and entered my family's tickets for them. This was the prize I'd been wanting to win the most as well. Don't get me wrong, I am pleased for the winners but deep down I'd had my heart set on it.
What about you? Do any of you get the same way when someone wins something you wanted or put in the effort for?

I'm with you there - although I don't for a moment begrudge other people's good fortune, I do admit I feel very envious when I read of people's wins, particularly if it's something I'd entered for myself. I seem to be going through a particularly dry spell at the moment so it seems even worse - if I had some wins of my own to cheer myself up, I wouldn't mind so much.
Like you, I was gutted that out of 80 people winning that Metro comp, I couldn't have been one of them! Similarly, when someone wins something on the mag dailies that I've entered every day for, and really wanted, I feel really disappointed.
The best way I can get to grips with it is to tell myself that all my good luck is being "saved up" for something really special
Best of luck to you for the next big thing xxx0 -

Honestly, nah.
I generally think to myself, well, if it couldn't be me, next best is someone from here.
Currently I'm watching iwiwiw to see if any chromebook wins show up from the Google comp. Had a great time looking through old photos to fit the brief, but I don't tend to win meme type comps.
Hope someone from here does though!0 -
I don't get jealous.
I think, ooh how lovely of them to have won, and how nice it would be if I had won.
I never set my mind on winning anything, due to it being disappointing. It's better to enter and forget... then you are pleasantly surprised when/if you win. So I'm usually like :O WOOO!
I do get a bit envious when people are on their third ipad thoughBut, more it makes me want to enter more

Yep, I'm a bitter twisted old cow. Usually it is the "effort" comps that annoy me because it is often patently obvious that they haven't been judged at all and have just randomly selected a winner.
I don't venture into IWIWIW because when I see the same names always winning the big prizes it riles me up.
I'm happy that people win BUT I am a martyr to the green-eyed monster in life in general. I don't feel the need to pretend that I don't get irritated/jealous/fed up because I'm pretty sure that 99% of compers feel the same at some point.Living with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0 -
When I read on IWIWIW that someone has won something I really had my eye on, then yes. For about 5 seconds I have a 'grrrrr' moment but then it passes and I start to think that it's nice to 'know' that someone who is appreciating the prize has won it.
It's better than forever wondering 'who won that comp I was lusting over'.Thank you to everyone who posts on the competitions boards. You all rock!0 -
Not really to be honest, I am just glad that a MSE'r has won and that makes me feel closer to maybe winning a prize soon. xxx:j:j:j Good Luck :j:j :j0

Not really. I'm a firm believer in "what's for you won't pass by you." I love hearing of other people's wins. I don't get jealous, I think "Wow, well done! Good for you!" (gosh, I realise that sounds sarcastic, but it's not meant sarcastic in the least.)
I never set my heart on prizes. I enter for things that my family or I could use. If I win then awesome. If I don't, then it's no big deal. I haven't lost anything.2019 Wins

I just enter & forget about the comp.
If it comes back as a win that's great. If not it is not a problem as we have thousands to play with each month.
I'm just pleased that some win :-)0 -
I don't really get jealous and love it when someone I know wins something nice. Occasionally I really fancy a prize and when I see someone else has won it I think damn I wanted that but I don't grudge them it. It is all down to luck after all and you seldom win the prizes you really want. It is a great feeling when you do though.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media
