I think I have installed something I shouldn't have and now my google page on chrome has changed when I search for something - the page is entitled 'ads relating to (whatever the search is). I have uninstalled something called 'mobogenie', which I haven't knowingly asked for.
I've run malware and spybot, deleting a lot of threats (usually get nothing).
Can anyone advise please?
Thanks you

I am not sure what 'mobogenie' is ?
But whatever it is, may have changed your search engine in chrome.
Go into settings, look for search, then manage search engines, remove the search engine that's there, hovering until you see an 'x' then click on it, this will delete it.
Then you can add your own, copy and paste
https://www.google.co.uk/
Hope that helps, maybe someone will come along and explain what 'mobogenie' is, sorry i am unable to help0 -
Thank you for your reply. I think the real culprit was something else I unknowingly installed - Searchgol - and have followed some instructions dogmary posted to another victim on here. I hope it has gone now as it has some very negative comments.0
