As some of the readers' comments show it is a common problem all over the country and something needs to be done.
Any suggestions?

having gone through most of the areas mentioned in the original report (lenton, radford etc) on a regular basis, the report is absolutely spot on. Most of the property has been turned into student multiple housing, and yes it really is full of overflowing wheelie bins, discarded pizza boxes, and over parking, just like that report says. It's a health benefit ...0

It seems to me that the Universities should carry a lot of the blame, for not providing adequate housing for the student population. However, the good old grauniad lays the blame at the door of the BTL landlords. If these BTL properties were not available, where exactly would the students live????In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0
