Xmas gift ideas FROM teacher

My kids always get presents from their teachers, it is normally notepads, pens, pencils etc. I always feel bad though, it must cost a fortune with all the kids they have!Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j0

I didn't expect my daughter to get a gift from her teacher but last year she (then age 4) got a notepad and pencil for Christmas she was over the moon!
For her birthday at school she got a bookmark with her name on (just a printed one that was then laminated) - again she loved it!
The food ideas look great but there must be at least one child in the class with some sort of allergy (I say this as my daughter has a nut allergy and there are several children in her year with allergies to different things like nuts, dairy etc).
I would say check the pound shops for ideas - could you get random things and do a lucky dip?0 -
I LOVE the reindeer biscuits!!! Think I might do those this year
As regarding allergies, this year is the 1st year we have had no food allergies, or any kind of allergy in our class. However even if we do I still do food things, and for the child with the allergy they get something a little different, or a substitute. And they are wrapped up in either a box or cellophane from me anyhow, so no problems of worrying about the child and other children's gift PLUS they are not sent home until hometime and are not allowed to be opened until they go home. It's easy enough to get round the allergy bit, you just have to think about it and be on the safe side.Pay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0 -
My children have had gifts such as homemade decorated biscuits in their individual name initial (so thoughtful to individualise), stationery set (boring and poor quality: sorry!), hot chocolate sachet in a festive mug with their name (written) on and an origami Xmas tree with a personal message to each child written on it by the teacher who did origami (though they're not difficult, I've tried.)
I think a selection box or Lego mini figure (£2 tho!) would also work well for this age.
I really like the personalised and/or homemade gifts. It doesn't take much but DD2 in particular was thrilled beyond belief with the teachers that took the time to do this.0 -
I usually buy my class a little goody bag with hello kitty/ super hero/ spongbob sweets or similar from home bargains , christmas pencil and rubber , notebook (poundland ) and chocolate santa lolly (aldi) works out at about £1 each or one year a horrid henry book each ( book people) they loved these and as we were looking at francesca simon in class in the new year they all then had a book of hers at home. Everone's a winner;)0
