Pink on white dry paint

 I wonder if anyone has experience of using Crown white paint that goes on pink and dries white?
I have painted numerous ceilings with white paint and can normally see where I am. On this job OH was to be helping and she wanted to try the pink visible paint. I agreed and was keen to see how it worked. I usually buy only Dulux but its pink stuff was very expensive so we went for Crown. Still £6 more than their regular PbW emulsion.
Out of the tub it looked pink, so far so good. However, as soon as we tried to use it, it just disappeared. There was a mist coat of cheap paint over the fresh skim but the Crown paint was only visible at certain angles. I have tried every possible lighting configuration. Daylight, incandencent bulbs, energy bulbs (it does show up a bit better under flourescent light but not enough to merit using the decorating tube i have used before) a 500 watt flood, even the light of the streetlight outside at 1am! The only option left is to book eye tests for our mate, her and myself!
It really has annoyed me, one third more expensive and less than half as visible.

Complain to the store or crown...what a rip off!!You may walk and you may run
You leave your footprints all around the sun
And every time the storm and the soul wars come
You just keep on walking0 -
I tried this when it first came out and had to complain to Crown. Because of the colour additives, it dried with a sort of grey tinge, it was really noticeable when I had to touch up with some ordinary white paint. Crown sent me vouchers for the value of the paint.0
