Calling all Samsung S2 experts...

Hi all,
Hopefully someone here can help with this one. I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 which started to come up with low phone storage space messages (around 200MB left ou of 1.96GB).
I moved every app I could and deleted most pictures and videos but seemed to make no difference. I downloaded Clean Master which got rid of most junk files but there was also an option to delete picture thumbnails. Thinking it was OK to do this I chose that option.
I reset the phone to factory settings after backing up everything but now I can't access the Gallery option to view new pictures or browse old ones which were restored. The phone says it's too full to open the Gallery but it's on just under 1GB now out of 2GB available.
Does anyone now how to fix the Gallery issue? You can access the pics through My Files but it's not ideal.
Many thanks

If you have a back up, can yo not delete them from my files area, and then, perhaps do another reset?0

Hi - already done that. The phone restored the pictures I had saved in my Google account and they're stored on the eternal SD card which has 2.86GB free. Phone storage has nearly 1GB of free space so not sure why it's telling me that there is not enough space when I try to open the Gallery. In deep...0 -
Ok when you plug the phone into your PC what folders do you see?
Is it Just the SD Card folder or do you see the Phones internal storage as well?
If you can see both then just browse to the internal storage and remove or transfer the images.
Last resort!:
Do another hard reset but this time *DON'T* put in your google account details.
Restore your data from the backup *then* log into google.
Once you log in go to "settings" then scroll down to "Accounts" select "Google" then select your google login.
scroll down to "Google Photos" and untuck.
That should stop the phone downloading your pics from google's servers (it also stops uploading of pics)Laters

Thanks for this. When I plug in the phone into my laptop it shows the USB storage on the phone and the SD card, not the third storage area which is the phone itself. There seems to be a glitch in the Gallery app which stops it opening - tells me there is not enough space but there obviously is. Wsa wondering if there was any way to repair the app. Sorry if this is not making sense! May require a call to Samsung I thinkIn deep...0
