OTB deposit and monies paid = a contract?

As an aside, personally I would have no worries at all about going to Sharm: the trouble is a good long way away and the security is excellent.
They said they cannot for any fee I would need to cancel and rebook.
Easyjet have a policy, at this time, where they could change my flights only 48hrs prior to departure to another available destination and if there is a difference to pay then you need to pay it.
On the OTB site it says this about not paying the balance:
Balance due date is xxx
Please ensure you have paid your remaining balance no later than this date. Any failure to pay this balance on time may result in the cancellation of your booking at a loss of all monies paid. To make a 100% secure payment towards your holiday at any time please visit Manage Your Booking
Loss of all monies paid = better than this + £60.
I just don't see why I need to pay the fee at this point. I have paid for my flight part of this booking and I know the rest is for the hotel which they only pay the balance on after the total monies due date.
Anyone had experience with OTB on issues like this?0 -

I will ask them. Would you think this is likely?0 -
However, if I want to cancel it asks for another £30 per person. Why do I need to pay this? I read on their T&C's that if I do not pay the remainder in time then my holiday will be lost so is there some contractual obligation for me to throw another £60 down the drain?
It seems to be an admin fee. You agreed to the t&c when you you made your booking.

Have you got an easyJet booking reference where you can log in to the easyJet website and manage your booking?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Log in and see if you can start to change the destination or if it refers you to travel agent.
I suspect your flights might already be paid for in full.
If the flight destination can be changed, I'd just pay OTB to cancel the other elements of the holiday and sort somewhere else out for a holiday.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -

Yes but can they still cancel the booking even though it has already been paid in full?
Also, there does not seem to be any drop down menus or options to change the flight.0 -
I know you said you don't want to go to SSH because you would be anxious, but I think it's far more hassle trying to cancel than to go. We are going to Dahab in Nov and looking forward to it.0

+1 this; we just booked a few days ago for a week in Sharm this side of Christmas. I reckon you're safer there than any night in London or even crossing the road...The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0
