i think i am going to go for an audi avant. ive seen the storage space with rear seats folded down and its huge, plus its the vest looking estate i can find. all the others just look rubbish. the avant really look like a stretched out, good looking hatchback0

Well looks are important, I dont carry goods around every day of the week. In fact it's ususally a once a week affair so I can't buy a MPV or a van and run around in it for all my personal travels as well. An estate is probably best suited and is sufficiently spaced out for my use too.
I am up to my limit carrying goods in my golf hatchback, I think just an extra foot of space in a estate will do for now.0 -
Just saw a trailer the other day used by someone else in the industry. He was driving a range rover and had a box trailer (ones with roof and doors). I poked around on autotrader and these boxes ususally sell from 1.5K-2K which are reasonably sized.
Wondering if that is a viable option so I can buy the car I really want (a s2000) and just use a trailer for large orders that I want to order.
Now I understand these trainers are a real bloody headache to manouvre around in a built up residential area (especially if you make a wrong move). Was wondering if these are a realistic option or if I'm making a lot of work for myself. I could rent out a garage to store it when not in use or just store it at the car park of my storage facility which has space for vehicles.
Importantly, is a s2000 Ok to shift a trailer around with? ITrailer will have at most 200kg worth of goods in it.0 -

If your after a trailer check out eBay, I bought one last year, 1.7m Long 1.1m Wide x 1.2m Tall for £300, metal body with double doors at back.0 -

Why not go for an ex NHS rrv from Merthr Motor Auctions
Lots of well serviced CR-Vs for silly money and they are the hardy 2.2 diesel
They have a few Vectras and Astra estates with manual boxes so shouldn't be "blessed" with a dpf.
The 1.9 diesel lump in those is ok if you service it regularly and it has no dpf. Though there will still be alternator failures and egr problems. But an egr blank should help
Your competitor will project a strong image as they will turn up with the 4x4 on most jobs and only use the trailer on larger jobs as a top up to the 4x4s capacity. Or at least that is what i would.
Turning up every time in an S2000 will look plain silly no matter how much fun you are having
And when your S2000 is your business tool you will slowly start to get no enjoyment from driving it
I really enjoyed driving my XJ for the first few weeks
Now it is somewhere to sit whilst working
