I agree Vreddy Wintrac Xtreme tyres are amazing and i can't live without them up here in North Scotland. However UK prices for these tyres (and others tyres generally) are expensive compared to European retailers. These German online retailers are cheaper (even with UK delivery included) than the likes of Camskill

also try ebay.de and amazon.de as many sellers will ship to UK.0 -
How does a second set of tyres or wheels need to be stored when not in use? Can they just be stacked on their sides in a cold, damp shed or does a bit more care need to be taken?0

I wouldn't put them on cold concrete or similar as i would be concerned with sidewall damage.
I would only store them tread down and try to avoid them being on a flat on the same section of tread for too long.
Have seen some people have racks to store them. Not sure if they bought or made them though0 -

I store mine on their side walls in two stacks covered rather than on the tread.
Thought it might limit any shape distortion that way.0 -
Thanks GolfBravo, helped me find this from your image

Fitted Pirelli four seasons to my Vectra 215/55/16 best choice i made 3 years ago it did not get stuck and we live in a hilly area of Leeds and i need this car for all times due to silly shift work, it's grip when i enquired was 40% better grip in the snow to that of a summer tyre.
Now got a v good deal on some Continentals 2x going on the front soon bargain price from mytyres.co.uk This is where i have bought all my tyre's from for the last 10 years i have my own machine so fitment no problem.
It's amusing passing motorists who have there wheels spinning trying to climb them hills and rwd mercs & bmw stuck going nowhere, yet in europe they drive them heck thats were there made!!
All season are a v good option if you can have another set go for full winter tyres & you lot in your rwd cars especially you need something or walk.:D0 -
Well that's my winter tyres & wheels on now - Conti TS850Ps - 10 days or so earlier than I had planned.
But the temperature here in deepest darkest Aberdeenshire has been down to 2 degrees for the last few nights, and we have pretty much constant rain forecast for the next week or so.
Right now it's 5 degrees, and I've got lots of late night journeys planned for the next 3 weeks.
Summer wheels are now stacked in the garage - they need a thorough clean and polish - no hurry though - I've got six months to do that job.0 -
5 degrees in Aberdeenshire? Don't forget your suntan lotion then.0

You are unlikely to get any distortion as the tyres are not under any load.
But putting them on their side means they are loads are being exerted on parts of the tyres not designed for that kind of constant load
Just my take on it.
Every time i have seen tyres being stored it is always tread down.0
