These are Argos Customer returns. NOT TESTED. We dont know what (if anything) may be wrong with them. If for whatever reason they dont work - its still a 6ft tree delivered for £15. We have had lots of customer feedback where they are delighted with a fully working tree.

Do they have returns for Xmas trees at Argos ?
Thought that was one of the items out of the 30 Day returns thingy ma jig

Can anyone comment from experience on IKEA's real christmas trees - do they shed all over the place - if I buy now will it last until christmas ?

    No.

Get now and if not ready to bring in cut off 2 inches of the trunk and stick in a bucket of water outside.

If you are ready to bring in, cut off 2 inches of trunk and make sure in a holder which will hold water so you can let it drink - keep topped up with water.

It lasts well beyond new year.

(All living Xmas trees should be treated similarly for lasting)

I bought my IKEA tree 2 days ago. So far so good. Not a single dropped pine needle. Even when we mucked up putting the lights on and had to start all over again. :o Lovely shape - nicest tree we've had for a while. Will be using the £20 in January!:)
  • I'm thinking of getting an Ikea tree, what sort of height are they as I usually like a 7ft tree, also do they come with a stand or do you have to buy a stand or bucket elsewhere?

Got our tree yesterday from IKEA, it is lovely.

They also had a log cabin with Santa in who gave a gift to the children who went in to see him(bag with a teddy
in) , mulled wine, biscuits and sweets.

They told us they were having another 1000 delivered on tuesday and not surprised as they were going so fast.

Our one was taller than the guy there and he told us he was 6ft.

They do not come with a stand(never seen anywhere that they do).

The stands they sell are £15 - you can put water in them and they have feet that are quite spread out for good stability. Not used one myself as we have had our stand for years.

Thank you so much for the info, I haven't had a real tree before so I wanted to be prepared :)

I got one of the small trees from sainsburys, as per previous post. Very pleased with it for £5, lovely to have as an additional tree outside or in a second room in the house.
