Recommendation for Air Printer

My Brother printer has given up the ghost and I need a new one. I would like an Air Print compatible printer, not too expensive, preferably with separate ink cartridges and not too big. It needs to be able to scan as well as print. I print mostly b&w with the occasional colour page.

The Canon PIXMA MG4250 All-in-One Printer has good reviews and is Mac compatible but not separate ink cartridges. Good price reductions but I have only ever had HP printers/scanners.0

The 4250 uses a Tri-colour and Black cart - if this is what's meant by 'separate cartridges', then it fits the bill0
